Lucca – Pisa

This tour begins with a hour drive through the lovely Tuscan countryside to Lucca. Lucca is a gem of a town encased within its famous walls with lots of charm and narrow medieval streets. The city has some wonderful examples of roman, medieval and renaissance architecture. Lucca also has amazing churches, including the Duomo di San Martino which contains the Volto Santo (Holy Face), a wooden figure of Christ, which is considered to be a true likeness of the face of Christ. Others sights of interest are San Frediano, San Michele Church, Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, Guinigi Tower, and Napoleone Square. Lucca's historical center also has shops and elegant boutiques. You can take a walk on Via Fillungo and enjoy a stop in one of the local cafes or traditional restaurants.

Then we will head for Pisa where your driver will bring you in Piazza dei Miracoli which ranks as one of the world's loveliest squares. You can now admire La Torre Pendente, “The Leaning Tower” (the climb takes roughly 30 minutes, pre booking recommended).
