Firenze – Pisa

We have a morning pick up from the Livorno or La Spezia ports to travel through the beautiful countryside of Chianti (with stops along the way to admire and photograph the magnificent landscapes); only one hour to rustic Florence (Firenze), where you spend hours at local museums, shops, traditional trattorie and amazing gelato! Let’s start our tour of Florence at the wonderful Romanesque church of San Miniato al Monte, one of the oldest in the area. This is near Michelangelo Square where you can enjoy the most beautiful panorama of the city.

The tour continues in the historical center with stops at the beautiful Santa Croce Square, the Brunelleschi Dome, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio (famous for its unique and charming appearance) and fabulous jewelry shops. We strongly recommend a visit to the Academy of Fine Arts, home to Michelangelo’s David. Or perhaps the Uffizi Gallery where we are able reserve a tour for you.

On the way back to the ship, we can stop in Pisa directly in Miracle Square which ranks as one of the world's loveliest squares. Here you can admire La Torre Pendente, “The leaning Tower” (the climb takes 30 roughly minutes, pre booking recommended). Nearby is Pisa's majestic Romanesque Cathedral and the unusual round Baptistery. Remember that our vehicles can access inside all restricted areas (forbidden to buses and cars without authorization) so we make it easy to avoid long and tiring walks. If required, we can provide licensed local guides whom are fluent in many languages.
